Dawid Oosthuizen racing gravel, action shot

Racing gravel and marathon MTB by weekend. Building websites by trade.

XCM, gravel and road racer competing across South Africa, based in Cape Town. Coached by Absolute Motion. Founder of Big Mood Agency. Racing toward an international start line.

Two tracks, one engine

The racer

A 2026 season spread across three disciplines — marathon and cross-country mountain biking, gravel, and road — chasing sponsorship, sharper form and bigger start lines.

Racing across provinces — from the Cape Winelands and West Coast gravel roads to national XCO and road circuits — with the goal of taking that form international.

Coached by Absolute Motion, training year-round out of Cape Town on the doorstep of the Tankwa, Swartland and Winelands race calendar.

The founder

A BCom in Business Management and Entrepreneurship (EMERIS), put straight to work building a company rather than a CV.

Founder of Big Mood Agency, a Cape Town web design and digital marketing studio working with athletes, professionals and small businesses.

The same eye that reads a race profile reads a homepage: what matters, what gets cut, and what makes someone act.

Same discipline either way — show up prepared, finish what you start.

Why sponsors should know me

Three disciplines, one season

XCM, gravel and road racing means more events, more brand exposure, more weekends covered.

National circuit, international ambition

Competing across South African provinces now, with the goal of lining up on international start lines next. Early support goes furthest here.

Cape Town base

On the doorstep of South Africa's biggest gravel and MTB calendar — Tankwa, Darling, Bonnievale, Riebeek.

Content-ready

As a working designer and marketer, I produce my own race content, reels and sponsor deliverables without needing a media team.

Full race calendar, audience numbers and partnership tiers in one document.

Media kit PDF coming soon.

I build the same kind of site you're looking at right now.

Big Mood Agency designs one-page portfolio sites for athletes and corporate professionals — built to make you look sponsor-ready and easy to say yes to. This site, and unathinxumalo.co.za for pro MTB racer Unathi Nxumalo, are both examples of the work.
